Incentives

Properties within Stillwater's Business Improvement District are eligible for incentives through the City of Stillwater and the BID.

The Sales Tax incentive through the City of Stillwater is available for business locating within the BID, or existing businesses who are expanding their current business.

The Exterior Grant Program is funded by an appropriation from the District and is available to BID Property owners. This incentive is intended to assist property owners and/or business owners in making improvements and good design choices that will support the historical look of the BID and will enhance business. Grant funds must be matched and the design plan must be approved by the BID Board prior to any construction in order for an owner to be eligible for the funding.

The Business Media Grant program is also funded by an appropriation from the District and is available to those operating a business within the District. The program is designed to boost advertising dollars as well as help brand the area as Downtown Stillwater.
